Despite the entire renewables industry awaiting the ROC banding announcement due later in July, work continues apace on our biomass projects, so it's always satisfying when conclusive progress is made.
Today I am pleased to announce conclusive progress in the form of a Certificate of Lawful Development for constructing our 400kV underground power export cable connecting the Tees REP to the national grid. Though in the grand scheme of things it is a relatively minor licence for a project of this scale, it is nevertheless crucial and backstops our ability to construct the 6km, £10m cable necessary to connect to the national grid.
